Defining Search Engine Optimization (SEO):-

The process of improving the quality of website traffic to a website or a web page from search engines results page to make a website more discoverable when people search for products or services. The more visibility a website has on search engines the more likely it is that brand captures business. Website visibility main measured by the placement or ranking of the site on search engine results pages.

In other words it can defined as the process of improving our website’s relevance, trustworthiness and usability to increase its rankings in organic search results.

Search engine optimization (SEO) is the product of search engines. Search engines use bots to crawl pages on the web, going from site to site, collecting information about those pages and putting them in an index. SEO works on keywords signal to search engines a pages topic that is why keywords often feature in title tags, header tags and throughout the content. SEO works with on page ,off page and technical seo.

It is the process of ensuring the content on our site is relevant which provides a good experience to user. It also includes targeting the right keywords within our content and can be done through a content management system.

02.Off-Page Optimization:-

It is the process of enhancing your site’s search engine rankings through activities outside of the site. This is largely driven by backlinks, which help to build the site’s reputation.

03.Technical Optimization:-

It is the process of completing activities on your site that are designed to improve SEO but are not related to content.Technical structure of a site can have a massive impact on its performance, it’s crucial for everyone to understand these principles. It might also be a good idea to share this part of the guide with your programmers, content writers, and designers so that all parties involved in a site's construction are on the same page.

How do search engines really works?

Crawling

Search engines use crawling to discover and rediscover new and existing pages on the web. Sometimes called these web crawlers spiders and robots. The main purpose of crawls is to discover new web pages that exist, also to periodically check the content on pages they have previously visited to see whether they have been changed or updated. If we have a blog post and it's linked from our homepage when a search engine crawls our homepage it will then look for another link to follow and may follow the link to our new blog post.

Indexing

Search engines use indexing to store content from the web and then deliver it via search results. Indexing happens after crawling. In index is used at the final ranking stage. When a web page or piece of content is indexed, it is filed and stored in a database where it can later be retrieved. Most web pages that offer unique and valuable content are placed into the index.

Ranking

Ranking can only happen after the crawling and indexing steps are complete. So once a search engine has crawled and indexed our site it can be ranked.Highly visible content ranks in the top few positions resulting in more traffic from search. Ranking factors are the often evolving, and commonly disputed criteria search engines use to determine the results on a page for any given search.
